Face practice

Spent from 8-10pm tonight sketching around in Photoshop. Was also multitasking as I drew, watching YouTube videos on Fantasy Grounds game master tips, as I am nervous about running a game on Saturday. I’m also still not feeling well, so I’m surprised I managed to make art today. I was mostly moping in the living room while scrolling around on Twitter and YouTube after dinner tonight. Ricky gave me a little nudge to go upstairs, and I’m glad I put the time in.

Putting in hours to create muscle memory on my shortcuts: zooming with the z key and scrubbing left or right, brush adjustments on the fly, rotating, flipping the canvas regularly, etc. Also practicing using clipping masks for shading the hair.

The sketching took most of the time: about 1.5 hours, including warm up/messing around unsure of what to draw. Coloring the line art took about 30 minutes. I was *ahem* encouraging myself to go fast, because honestly, I want to post this before 11pm and get some sleep.

Mostly I’ve been dealing with tension headaches and waves of nausea. I need to stretch my neck and shoulders better, make time for yoga (in additional to all the other stuff I want to make time for…*sigh*), drink more water, etc. Though… I did pause on taking fish oil and my multivitamin. I haven’t been taking any vitamins/supplements for the last year, and finally started again four days ago. I thought at first maybe the nausea was my body being unhappy about the fish oil; I’m a vegetarian and don’t eat fish, but I also want healthy omega oils. I’d probably be a pescatrian but I don’t like how fish tastes.

EH, enough for the rambling. Time to rest!

‘Til next time <3
